IOTA

The work named “IOTA” embodies many of the characteristics identifiable with Prince’s sculptural style. The project represents a collaboration between Prince, emerging AR presentation platform Scavengar and art + technology consultancy, Monsolo. The project is Prince’s first publication of a fully digital work following the launch of Berkshire House, the organization he co-founded to explore creative collaborations around art and technology.

The work itself has been created as both a stand-alone sculptural presentation and a more interactive narrative-led AR experience called “Planet B”. The project involved development and platform support from Scavengar the world's first Augmented Reality (AR) storytelling platform to enable the creation of native Apple AR experiences without downloading an app. Its focus lies on art-led, real-world Metaverse content for culture. Its strong emphasis on usability and intuitive UIs make it the ideal tool for artists, museums, and creators alike to tell unique and immersive stories.

IOTA is currently on show at Jonathan Prince’s Elemental Matters solo show at Chesterwood.
